Alex was born in Sarasota, FL and first started to work as a theater technician back in 2007. He attended Booker High School and was a part of the Visual and Performing Arts program for technical theater where he worked to design several shows/musicals as both a light designer and a sound designer. He went on to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. There he earned a degree in digital arts including photography, videography, 2D/3D animation, sound design/composition, lighting design, and projection design.

Since then he has worked across the country for a multitude of companies. He worked as the resident sound designer for the FSU/Asolo Conservatory from 2017 through 2023. He also worked with Urbanite Theatre from 2021 to 2024 where he served as their Production Manager and Technical Director with 3 designs a season.

He currently is a full time teacher at Booker High School and serves as the Head of Production and Design.
